An award-winning North Canterbury builder’s own home sold recently at auction at a price believed to be a record for an Amberley residential property.
Marketed by Maria Rickerby of PGG Wrightson Real Estate, Amberley, the four-bedroom Crawford Close, Kowai Downs home, built in 2018, was offered for auction in mid-August.
Maria says there was plenty of interest in the auction.
“Beautifully designed to ensure all the needs of a busy family life are met, this contemporary home boasts clean lines and creative features including black steel and Abodo timber cladding, plus polished concrete flooring, bench tops and charred timber statement walls.
“With several interested parties in the auction room, the bidding was swift and vigorous. An Ohoka couple prevailed, with their $1.325 million bid bringing auctioneer Athol Earl’s hammer down, a price at or close to a record for an Amberley residential property.
“Both vendor and purchaser are ecstatic with the deal,” she says
