Dixon Farm Machinery Limited has been trading in Methven Mid-Canterbury since 1979 and from the current site at 12 Line Road since 2005.

The business carries out a wide range of activities including the sales and repair of farm machinery, vehicle repairs and servicing, small engine servicing and the supply of spare parts for the farming industry.

The main franchises are Husqvarna, Castrol oils, Baldwin filters, FAG bearings, Bridon Cookes hydraulics, Bareco agricultural spares, Duncan agriculture and Kverneland plough and cultivation parts.

As well as an in-house hydraulic hose service there is also a fully equipped hydraulic van for onsite farm repairs.

Some sixteen years ago Dixon's started importing large diesel generators as backup power for the dairy industry. This has become a large part of the business and there
are now between two and three hundred units out working.

These sales are backed up by a good range of spare parts and there is good ongoing business for their service and maintenance.
