This foreshore property is steeped in history and has never been on the market before. The original farm that was on Clarks beach was owned by the family and past generations stamped their mark on the land. The Torkar road name originated from the families great uncle George Torkar who owned and operated the farm with the current vendors Grandfather. The property was retained by the family after the remainder of the farm was sold to the Franklin Council back in 1960. They actually have had this spot since 1920 when a traditional beach bach was built.
The property was chosen because of its position on the foreshore and the amazing views over the Manukau Harbour and to the City of Auckland.
In 1991 the family built the existing home and was used as the permanent family home. In the past few years the home became the families' beach house and the decision has now been made to sell the property. The vendor's mother loved houses that had been designed to suit the environment. All aspects of the design of this property were considered prior to construction and an Architect was commissioned to ensure the home would blend perfectly with the stunning location.
