Stonycreek is situated 14km east of Culverden, which is in the heart of the Amuri dairying area of North Canterbury. Close to Hanmer Springs, Kaikoura and the Waipara wine region. The property is predominantly west facing. Of the 382 hectares approximately 300ha is warm tussock hill, subdivided into five blocks with good fencing and is well tracked. The balance of 82ha is good flats subdivided into 12 paddocks by a combination of good post and wire plus electric fencing. The altitude range for the property is between approximately 240m and 800m, with a rainfall between 600-650mm per year. Soils are a mix of both Haldon series on the hill and Culverden series on the flats. Once harvested this land is then sown into rape for the dairy grazers. Surplus grass is sold standing as well as any surplus baleage. Both primary and secondary schooling is available at Amuri Area School, situated in Culverden just 14km away. School bus at gate and rural mail delivery six days per week.
