Auction information

Auction - 1.30pm, 19 November 2024 at Lincoln Events Centre (Unless Sold Prior)

'Eastlake', situated in the heart of the Selwyn district, approximately 9km to Lincoln township and 31km to Christchurch International Airport is being offered for sale by our retiring vendors. After a lifetime of farming the decision has been made and Eastlake will be offered to the market by way of public auction. During the tenure of their ownership, Eastlake has been very faithfully and conservatively farmed and is ready for a new owner to take it to its next level.

Comprising 100.1959 hectares (more or less) and subdivided into approximately 45 paddocks by a mix of permanent and electric fencing. The paddocks are currently sown in a mix of modern permanent pasture species, red and white clover, and plantain. Approximately four hectares of kale are sown annually for winter feed along with some short rotation ryegrass and oats.

The current farming policy is fattening beef cattle with an average of 100 calves being purchased at the autumn sales and then sold prime as RY2's. Each winter there are approximately 200 cattle grazing Eastlake. In the past, there has been some dairy grazing and sheep breeding, with excess grass sold for hay, baleage, silage or standing grass.

Eastlake has its own water supply from a consented well which supplies the dwelling plus the stock troughs in most paddocks.

Eastlake has good infrastructure for its size including three two-bay sheds, two hay sheds with attached wool shed area, four-bay shed with closed workshop and super bin, and a number of smaller sheds.

The spacious modern homestead was built in 2008 of block construction and consists of four double bedrooms with double doors from the living/dining area to the sheltered BBQ area.

The current owners have made the hard decision to retire. Now is the opportunity for a new owner to take Eastlake to the next level.

PGG Wrightson Real Estate Limited is privileged to bring Eastlake to the market. Your early inspection is highly recommended as properties of this calibre and in this location are extremely sought-after.

Open Days at 1.30pm on Thursday 24 October, Wednesday 30 October, and Thursday 31 October
