A total land area of 248.138ha, Te Horomanga, is perched high above the Opotiki river flats, providing long range sweeping views from the easterly Ruakumara Ranges to White Island and west over the distant Rangitaiki Plains and out to Whale Island.

Access is by crossing the pristine Tutaetoko Stream. After a steep 3km drive through bush to a height of around 400 metres above sea level, the track opens onto the farmed area.
The contour is easier on the top, where approximately 85ha is fenced and farmed. Water is reticulated over all paddocks, and good sub-division is provided by well-maintained mostly 5-wire electric fences. Good farm tracks lead to the cattle yards.

From Opotiki township with its beaches and coffee shops, it is an easy 12km drive to the property boundary, where wilderness abounds both on the property and the neighbouring properties too. The Urutawa Conservation area is also just down the road.
