Manapouri has always been a well kept secret of the Southern Lakes region of New Zealand. The lake is regarded as New Zealand's "prettiest" lake, and sitting on the deck of this magnificent property, who would argue!
The Vendors have lovingly created a wonderful family home on what is known as the "Golden Mile" of the village of Manapouri.
The coop has flown in this family, so it's time for our Vendors to move on and explore the world. Almost every room has a great view of the lake and mystical Fiordland mountains.
The open plan living, dining and kitchen flow out to a large partly covered wooden deck. There are four double bedrooms, two upstairs with plenty of room for bunks or for teenagers to spread their belongings. A good sized office, just off the living area could double as an extra bedroom.
Out back there is a separate lounge/rumpus room with a bathroom and laundry area. There is a large family bathroom with shower, bath and toilet.
The attached internally accessed garage has plenty of room for bikes, gear and a car, and will fit some boats.
The house is well heated by a feature woodburner in the living area and a nightstore.
The Vendors have thoughtfully built the house well back on the section to take advantage of the elevated views, to give the home owner more privacy from neighbours.
