36 Valley Road is located in Tuai village, bordering Te Urewera, home to a vast world of stunning lakes, forest and mountains. The small village was built for the workers building the local Tuai Power Station, opened in 1929 on the shores of Lake Whakamarino.
Lake Whakamarino, also known as Tuai Lake, is popular with anglers. It can be used by fly-fishers and accessed with small, unanchored boats.
The 1930s dwelling is filled with plenty of native timber and sits in an elevated position above Lake Whakamarino. There are three good sized bedrooms and open plan living areas, kept warm with a freestanding fire.
The rear section is of a good size with a variety of fruit trees. There is the option to run a driveway along side the house to have a boatshed or garage at the rear with good turnaround space plus parking for two vehicles at the front of the house.
On the other side of the road is native bush, birdsong and freshwater streams, with a swimming hole located near the bottom of Valley Road. It is serene surroundings for sure.
