With over 40 years in real estate, including time as a real estate agency principal, David brings extensive experience, sound judgement and a wealth of local knowledge to every property transaction.
David grew up on a 400ha dry stock farm just outside Rotorua and later on horticultural blocks in Te Puke. He began his career in horticulture after gaining a Diploma in Horticulture from Massey University. He later moved into real estate, completing his AREINZ principal qualifications before becoming an agency principal. After years in agency leadership, David joined PGG Wrightson Real Estate, returning to the core business he enjoys most – selling property and working directly with buyers and sellers.
His connection to horticulture is also personal. David and his wife, Karen, established and planted their own orchard before moving to their current lifestyle property, where they planted gold kiwifruit. This firsthand experience gives David a practical understanding of orchard development, ownership, and the opportunities and challenges of the horticultural industry.
Orchards and farms have long been the cornerstone of David's real estate career, although his expertise extends across lifestyle, residential and commercial property. His established networks, practical approach and skilled negotiation are backed by a reputation for honest advice and personal service.
Working alongside Karen at PGG Wrightson Real Estate, they combine their complementary strengths and skills to offer clients a dedicated team approach, supported by extensive industry experience.
Away from real estate, David enjoys making the most of the outdoors, whether exploring mountain bike trails or heading out fishing. His love of the land and the lifestyle it offers is very much a part of who he is.
