About Jim Fortune

Jim Fortune began selling real estate in 2004, after 28 years as a livestock representative, all for PGG Wrightson.

During his long career in the rural services industry, Jim’s integrity and professionalism have enabled him to develop strong relationships with many clients whether they are looking to buy or sell rural or lifestyle properties.

Excellent communication skills, enthusiasm and reliability help him to establish the trust of those he comes into contact with.

As the owner of a 20-hectare block on the outskirts of Invercargill, where he has actively farmed for more than 20 years, Jim enjoys the challenge of achieving the best production possible from his land. In his professional life, he also relishes the challenges that come with assisting his many real estate clients.

In 2019, after spending much of his career based in Invercargill, Jim moved to Te Anau.

When not helping his clients achieve their property objectives, Jim can be found hunting and fishing, often in Northern Southland.

My brother and I have known Jim since before he went into real estate, so for 25 or 30 years. We have had close contact with him and have always found Jim to be extremely honest.
