John Menneer

Raised in the Hawke’s Bay on family owned vineyards, orchards, and grazing land John has a strong affinity with the land and farming, and has spent most of his working life in the agricultural and property sectors.

After completing a PhD at AgResearch in 2003 John spent five years working as a researcher in farm systems looking at pasture productivity and nutrient movement in soil. Since 2008, John’s interests saw his career move to land and property development, public infrastructure management, and business development, where he gained valuable commercial skills in real estate transactions, contract law, and public infrastructure management (value $30 million).

During these experiences John has worked across a range of clients and property types involving commercial contracts where negotiation, execution, and price delivery are paramount. John's clients would say he is solution focused and has a high degree of professionalism, honesty and integrity when dealing with the different people involved in pulling together a contract.

John’s farming background and commercial experience are a great compliment for his role as a real estate sales consultant, where his focus is on delivering premium results for his clients through a smooth sale/purchase transaction process. John lives in Wairoa on a 330ha Sheep and Beef farm where he is actively involved in his local community in the Putere District, and is the chairperson of the local Putere District Community Association.
