About Shane Turfus

For the past 20 years Shane has called Central Otago home, living and working on farm including management roles for large farm operators and running his own lease block before choosing to follow a career in Real Estate.

Prior to farming, Shane’s previous background was many successful years in the automotive industry including repairs and vehicle sales.

Shane’s depth of knowledge in the residential market comes from buying, selling and building his own property portfolio as well as managing them as rentals. His love for the land really shows within his engagement when listing a property which allows him to show properties off to their highest potential. Shane has made many clients’ real estate transactions a smooth and informative process.

Shane has created his own team within PGG Wrightson with Sally Taylor, where they feel working together on their clients’ biggest assets is the future of Real Estate, adding their knowledge and strengths together making the buying and selling process as stress-free as possible. They both come from similar backgrounds and have both been involved in the rural sector from management through to leasing their own blocks as well as sales and marketing in various industries. They believe this gives them a great grounding and qualifies them to understand their clients and their property requirements to work seamlessly together.

Outside of work, Shane is a keen hunter and fisherman, enjoying the outdoors and spending time with his family and friends. His three children all grew up in the Central Otago area and have now all left home to pursue careers of their own.

All we can say is outstanding. We had a small property that went to market with Sally in June, she called with an offer in the morning and then she called again in the afternoon to tell me water was pouring out of the ceiling. As we live out of town and have no way of being onsite to deal with it, Sally pulled a screwdriver from her handbag (as every good woman would) and pried the frozen water toby box lid open and turned the water off. Sally project managed the complete renovation for us, even making replacement cabinetry decisions on our behalf. We could not have been happier with the outcome & the initial buyer with offer in the morning made another offer 3 months later to secure the property. The team at Wrightson’s are fantastic & we would not hesitate to use them anytime in future.
