Tuma has been working in and around the Tamaki Nui A Rua area in the Real Estate Industry, and his vibrant, hardworking and professionalism has seen him form some fantastic client relationships.
Tuma is a salesman that puts in the extra time and energy into his work, his first year he was awarded with “Rookie of the Year” and in his second year being awarded with Top Lister and 2nd Top Seller for the company for our area which spanned from Masterton to Waipukurau.
Before stepping into the Real Estate industry, Tuma was working in the Agri Sector and was involved in the running of the family dairy farm of 320 cows, split herd, once a day milking, with his father. Prior to this Tuma had a fantastic career in the shearing industry. Tuma has represented New Zealand in Australia as a part of the New Zealand Shearing team and now travels the country as one of the top commentators. This includes commentating and MC at the prestigious “Golden Shears Shearing Championships” the “New Zealand Shearing Championships” and “The Alexandra Merino Shearing Championships” plus a host of others around the north island, also including the ever-growing “Rural Games”.
Growing up as a child at Waitahora with a school roll of 18 and living on a sheep and beef farm this taught Tuma about hard work, later in life he took the helm of the family business “Paewai Mullins Shearing Ltd”. This taught Tuma a wide range of skills such as navigating employment issues, client management and understanding the value of community engagement.
Being able to adapt, be outgoing and motivated, Tuma finds it easy to communicate with people from all cultures. His caring nature has helped him build lifelong relationships and he is an active member in the community as he trains local kids from year 11 to year 13 basic farming skills through the local Dannevirke High School. Additionally, he is vice chair on the Tararua Youth Community Services Board, still does shearing instructing at times and works with various other clubs.
Tuma prides himself on being genuine and transparent, having been through the process of buying and selling himself, he understands that this can be challenging and stressful. Tuma works hard to listen to his clients, and to alleviate these pressures to help them make well-thought-out decisions for their best possible outcome.
