'Deans Hills' comprises 373.9086 hectares of mostly easy hill country.
The property has recently been granted a forestry consent to plant up to 306 hectares of Pinus Radiata. It is well-located close to the coast in an area noted for its temperate climate and regular easterly rainfall.
Currently farming finishing bulls, dairy service bulls and also trading cattle. It has been very well-developed with a new stock water system with county water plus dams, cultivation over large areas, fertiliser applied and reasonable sized areas oversown. Feed crops including kale and rape are being grown with pleasing results.
The property is expansive in nature with rolling to medium hill with a few steeper areas. There are some stands of native bush in some gullies which are a very attractive feature.
Fencing includes solar-powered electrics, with tracks and access very good around the property. A new set of cattle yards and large hayshed/ implement shed are great benefits.
Currently farming cattle, there are also other options now with very strong potential for forestry and carbon farming.
