Tender details

Tender - 3.00pm, 12 March 2025 (Unless Sold Prior)

29 I'Anson Road is a 5.6035 hectare organic green and gold production block nestled in the heart of Te Puna's prime production belt and surrounding lifestyle zone.

The Orchard
The production block has a total 3.46 canopy hectares.
•1.68 canopy hectares of Hayward Green kiwifruit
Early start for well over 10 years. The Green is picked in March/April. First week Organic early start, starts one week later than conventional.

•1.78 canopy hectares of G3 Gold kiwifruit
Early start 2021, 2022, the Gold is picked mid-April.

The orchard is run as an organic orchard. It is important to note that the Gold licence is a conventional G3 Licence therefore you have the option of staying organic or moving to G3 conventional growing.

The orchard is divided into 5 blocks:

Block 2
0.98 canopy hectare, G3 Gold kiwifruit.

Block 3
1.11 canopy hectare, Hayward Green kiwifruit.
This block has a potential house site which would be perfectly positioned to capture the sun along with views over a slightly lower piece of the property. There are well formed tracks, and this area would be perfect to develop a garden or bush area in the future.

Block 4
0.24 canopy hectare, G3 Gold Kiwifruit.

Block 5
0.57 canopy hectare, Hayward Green kiwifruit.

Block 6
0.56 canopy hectare, G3 Gold kiwifruit.

Shed
There is a 2 bay Letts garage shed with a single roller door which houses the orchard machinery, the staff toilet and the chemical store.

Water and irrigation
County supply. While the orchard is set up for irrigation there is currently no requirement for irrigation, and it has been disconnected from the previous water supply. Currently 100 cubic metres per day are permitted to be taken from a nearby pond.

This is a very attractive organic production block with excellent production figures, a testament to the knowledge and careful management of the current owners. The added bonus of a great potential house site and the proximity to the Te Puna township makes this a very unique and attractive proposition.
This area is also undergoing rapid expansion in the lifestyle market and once the new Northern arterial route is completed, may provide future development potential as this property is zoned Lifestyle. The 8-meter-wide driveway would also suit subdivision access in the future.
This property offers an excellent opportunity to invest in a lucrative orchard with a multitude of future opportunity.
