They provide a link between our sales team and the wider retail business. Through leadership, communication and support, the group creates a strong network that provides a unified voice for our people clients and staff at the local regions. This group aims to make a positive difference for the PGG Wrightson Rural Supplies business, which in turn benefits our clients. Being part of this group Ron has a strong network with other key people in our business across New Zealand this group is only 12 people so a very select group and Ron has been a key member of that. Natalie and I came to Northland in 2014. In the subsequent three years Ron has been our main technical advisor with everything to do with farming in Northland. Ron was always willing to go above and beyond what we expected of him in his professional capacity as key account manager for the Northland region for PGG Wrightson. His knowledge with everything to do with farming was excellent, his technical knowledge and ability to plan could not be faulted. Ron assisted me with the management of our maize cropping programme (up to 250ha), helped establish our red clover crop (40ha) and was integral in our summer cropping (chicory 100 ha) programme and advising us on the regrassing of this entire area (up to 450ha). He was also pivotal in training us with the management of the difficult soils we were faced with, Kaipara Clay and Limestone, from a fertility aspect as well as cultivation requirements. Also the pest control required from go to wo with all of these farming systems. He was focused on the client and the outcome for them especially when negotiating on behalf of us with the supplier around cost versus benefit. Ron on top of being a leader in his field with technical advice, he has the ability to communicate with a vast array of people from farm staff through to the owner of the business. He is a genuine person that puts the well-being of others before himself and is always on call for whatever advise is required including the low down on where the fish are biting in the Kaipara Harbour or whether spawning is underway in the Bay of Islands. I have every faith that Ron will excel in his new field and I have no hesitation in recommending him to all future clients as a trustworthy guy with an exemplary work ethic that puts people at the center of all of his decisions and recommendations.

In his role as a PGG Wrightson representative, I have known Ron Grbin for 12 years. In that time I have had many personal dealings with Ron, covering a wide range of business opportunities.
